"If there were only one thing I could do to recruit more Greens, it would be to give away copies of this book. It's the most amazing thing I've ever read, and I don't say that lightly. Ishmael is one of only two books that I can remember where and when I first read it. I can't recommend it emphatically enough." - Steve, Green Party Member

Learn about Nonprofit Organizations, Environmental Organizations and Sustainable Communities.

We believe, along with many others, that Ishmael is one of the most effective ways to change minds, turning ordinary citizens into environmentalists, humanitarians, and funneling them into a variety of worthy causes. The Friends of Ishmael Society is a great way to meet "Friends" and help make new ones. However, many of us, after hearing Quinn's message, wish to not only spread it, but act on our newfound knowledge.

If you wish to be more active in related areas, such as environmentalism, etc, this section will offer you many ideas of where you can go to do so. We by no means endorse or support any of these organizations specifically, but simply find that a large number of readers tend to gravitate towards these particular causes. If there is a specific activist organization that you would like listed, please let us know.
